On Monday 22 April 2024, Civic and Voter Education scheduled at Maruleng Youth Development office at Ga Sekororo Sofaya Village.
Most NGOs and CBOs in the Maruleng municipality came at large numbers including Community Works Programme workers.
It was organised by Ethical Leadership Foundation which is been led by Moritu Mautjie Pataki and KZN Council of Churches with funding from Kagiso Trust.
It is the 2nd workshop in Mopani District Limpopo for the civic education and voter education that will empower community members on the information and ensure that they are going to vote to shape their democratic rights and bring change to their communities. Mr M Phalane who is the convenor of Civic and Voter Education in Mopani have special arrangement with IEC in Mopani to support the outreach training.
Mr Phalane presented on Civic Education in which communities must effect changes and participate in their municipalities on IDP and other ward committee meetings.
Representatives from IEC in Maruleng gave us brief information about number of registered votes as 29 000 while spoilt papers came little down on the past elections. And He encouraged all of us to work hard to call all those who registered to go out and cast their vote.
